The Monongahela Monsters trumped the Tortolita Drummers, 8-5, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Monongahela third baseman Grant Cobb was terrific. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The save was credited to Jerry Shaw, his 6th. The Monsters have now won 4 straight.

Monongahela shortstop Brian Coleman helped the Monsters go up, 6-5, in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Coleman hit a run-scoring single off Tortolita pitcher Jack MacAlonie.

"Feels good to get the job done," Coleman said after the game.
