Humpbacks Stick Blitzkrieg with 5-3 Loss
|
Micheal Bly, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA in quality starts with 5, propelled his team to victory over the Port Huron Blitzkrieg. The final score was 5-3, Alaskan. The winner was Bly. He threw 7.0 innings of 1-hit ball. The loser was Mike Thornton. Heath Hennington earned the save, his 2nd.
With two out in the bottom of the sixth, Yuk Cuan put Alaskan in front, 4-2, with a run-scoring single. The Humpbacks went on to win the ballgame.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Cuan. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
Alaskan is third in the Silver AAA with a record of 25-16.
