The Austin Black Mambas dealt the Port Huron Blitzkrieg a 6-3 loss at Mamba Park. Roy Bell, who is tied for 3rd in the SAAA in hits with 49, was the star on offense. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Dan Gibbs earned the win to go to 5-3. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. The loss makes Port Huron 15-26.
Bell made an early impact for Austin when he stroked his 5th double of the season. The 2-run double, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Black Mambas on top, 3-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Bell.
