Squirrel Monkeys Deal Austin 6-2 Defeat
The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys topped the Austin Black Mambas, 6-2, in USSL Triple A action at The Zoo in Syracuse. The standout performance belonged to Syracuse designated hitter and Pompano Beach, Florida, native Zico Point du Jour, Jr.. In 8 innings, Point du Jour, Jr. surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, the Squirrel Monkeys have a record of 22-23.

Syracuse got a big at-bat from New York native Foster Brantley, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Squirrel Monkeys ahead, 3-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Syracuse manager Ramón Barrueco.
