Loss to Fighting Dachshunds Extends Nashville Losing Streak
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds defeated the Nashville Hot Chickens, 6-2, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Leading the charge for Ellenburg was first baseman Wen Mi. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Nashville is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.
The Hot Chickens had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Fighting Dachshunds going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Jerry Jaramillo came to the plate. Jaramillo hit a 2-run double on a 2-0 fastball from Nashville hurler Wessel de Best. It was Jaramillo's 3rd double of the year.
"We're not really clicking on anything right now," said Nashville manager Ward Wilberfoss.
