The Sacramento Redlegs took Hamilton pitcher Felipe Hernández's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The final score had Sacramento getting past the Thunderbirds, 6-3. Hernández went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 8. Sacramento pitcher Roberto Sánchez got the win, upping his record to 4-1. Claude Simon got the loss. The winning streak has now reached 9 games for Sacramento.

Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Shoraku Ito to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
