Norfolk Pajaritos starter Dan Watson pitched a strong game against the Sacramento Redlegs at Norfolk Field, leading the Pajaritos to victory, 9-3. Norfolk, at 27-23, occupies 5th place in the Silver AAA.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Hunter Griffin came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Sacramento pitcher Carl Neace, he hit a first pitch curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Norfolk on top, 4-3.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Watson told a Norfolk Citizen reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
