The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves topped the Austin Black Mambas, 8-6, with youngster Dan Cook playing a key role. Cook was 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Liberty Reserves in the win. Philadelphia goes to 36-14. The win puts them 3 games up in their division.
In the first inning, Cook had a grand slam home run for Philadelphia. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Liberty Reserves on top, 5-0.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Liberty Reserves manager Kiril Neuvel.
