The Sioux Falls Red Pandas handed the Austin Black Mambas a 6-2 defeat at Mamba Park. Shortstop Bryan Denton starred for Sioux Falls. He went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Seung Kim, the winner, improved to 2-3. He held the Black Mambas to 2 runs on 3 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The Red Pandas go to 28-23, putting them third in the Silver AAA.

Sioux Falls won the game in part because of Rafael Cruz. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Red Pandas ahead, 2-1. For the game, Cruz had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Denton said after the game.
