Hartford got a terrific performance from pitcher Jeffrey Dixon, but it wasn't enough to beat the Tortolita Drummers. Tortolita won the Drummers Ballpark contest, 6-5. Dixon threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Marvello Manalo, now 2-2, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. The Drummers are now 23-28, while the Pride fall to 15-36.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the tenth when Tse-peng Thian hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Guzmán to win the game for Tortolita. The home crowd went wild.

"It's great when the crowd goes berserk," Thian said.
