Juan Ramírez, who is tied for 5th in the SAAA in strikeouts with 60, was locked in. The left-hander led the Milton Dogfish Head to a 4-1 win against the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys at The Zoo in Syracuse. The winning pitcher was Ramírez, now 1-8. He tossed 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Earning his 2nd save for Milton was Ed Walters.
Milton took a 2-1 lead on Garrett Kline's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Kline hit in the top of the seventh, left Syracuse pitcher Yefim Vistunov visibly frustrated.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Kline.
The victory puts Milton at 19-33.
