Rainbeaus Get Past Florence, 5-4
|
The Florence Flamingos and Kansas Rainbeaus provided some drama for the home crowd.
With pinch hitter Lou Miller leading the charge, the Kansas Rainbeaus defeated the Florence Flamingos, 5-4, at Florence Field. Miller went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kansas reliever Nam-shik Yi picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Cisco Rodríguez was tagged with the loss. Jonah Cervantes sewed up the save, his 11th.
Miller had a timely hit for Kansas in the top of the eighth. With Kansas trailing 4-2, he turned a 1-0 cutter into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 5-4, Kansas.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Miller.
Florence's current losing streak is now 4 games.
