Black Mambas Get Clutch Win Versus Philadelphia
|
The Austin Black Mambas knocked off the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves, 3-2, in USSL Triple A action at Mamba Park. Austin pitcher and San Francisco, California, native Bob Craig had an outstanding performance. Austin reliever William Petersen picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Peter Smith absorbed the loss. With the victory, the Black Mambas upped their record to 31-21.
Caden White hit a solo home run off Peter Smith in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Black Mambas ahead, 3-2. In addition to the homer, White had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"Winning never gets dull," said White.
