Behind a fine performance from Dennis Veeneman, the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys knocked off the Milton Dogfish Head, 8-5. Veeneman went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Squirrel Monkeys. Alfredo Pérez got the win, improving to 5-0. He held the Dogfish Head to 2 runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. With the victory, the Squirrel Monkeys record stands at 26-27.
