Humpbacks Stay Hot, Beat Hot Chickens, 3-1
|
Micheal Bly was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Sea World. In fact, the Alaskan Humpbacks right-hander was instrumental in his team's 3-1 victory over the Nashville Hot Chickens. Curtis Hall was credited with the save for Alaskan, his 17th of the season. Alaskan has 5 straight wins, Nashville 3 straight losses.
Bo Young had a big 3-run home run for the Humpbacks in the bottom of the third inning. With Alaskan trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a cutter from Jack Peters, who is tied for 4th in the SAAA in quality starts with 8, and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Humpbacks ahead, 3-1.
"Micheal did a nice job," said Humpbacks manager Alfonso Vera.
