The Plymouth Rocks picked up a win at Plymouth Quarry, downing the Syracuse Starks, 1-0. On the mound for Plymouth was left-hander Norberto González, who played a pivotal role in the win. Marvin Justice nailed down the save. The victory gives Plymouth a record of 29-26.

González, a native of Phoenix, Arizona, was dealing all game. He kept Syracuse hitters off-balance, while giving the Rocks 7.1 quality innings. González threw 94 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 8.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said González. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
