Sioux Falls pitcher Hideki Takahashi had a large part in his team beating the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves, 5-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. At 31-25, the Red Pandas are currently 4th in the Silver AAA.
Sioux Falls used the timely hitting of Fred Watkins to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Red Pandas manager José González.
