Philadelphia Liberty Reserves starter Jim Ball turned in an exceptional performance against the Nashville Hot Chickens at Hot Chickens Park, resulting in a Philadelphia win, 3-2. Ball got the win, improving to 7-2. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Liberty Reserves, at 38-18, lead by one game in their division.
