Liberty Reserves Rally Late to Nip Red Pandas
|
The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves picked up a win at Liberty Reserve Stadium, dropping the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 6-5, in 11 innings. Peter Smith, who is rated as the 63rd best prospect by BNN, was the difference-maker. Philadelphia reliever Patrick Davis picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Juan Luis Matos took the loss. Today's win puts Philadelphia at 25-32, while Sioux Falls falls to 31-26.
The Liberty Reserves got a clutch hit from center fielder Quincy Audley. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Liberty Reserves.
"Took some scratching and clawing," said Smith. "But we got it done."
