The Kansas Rainbeaus got a magnificent performance from pitcher Terry Ward, who muffled the Tortolita offense en route to a tight, 2-1 Rainbeaus win at Drummers Ballpark. With the win, Kansas pushed its record to 29-28.

The win was a team effort for Kansas. Left Fielder Víctor Rivas was among the key contributors. In the top of the second, he put his team in front, 2-0, when he hit a 2-run single.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Rivas.
