The Kansas Rainbeaus rode a solid performance from 25-year-old starting pitcher Ron Cox to a win, beating the Nashville Hot Chickens, 4-2, at Wichita Field. David Thornton, who is rated as the 49th best prospect by BNN, nailed down the save. Kansas has a record of 33-26, placing them 4th in the Silver AAA.

Left Fielder Millard Carlson made an impact for Kansas, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Norberto Dávila in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Carlson was 1-2 with a double and 2 walks.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Cox.
