Kosaku Kobayashi, who is tied for 3rd in the SAAA in quality starts with 9, was terrific for the Calgary Lynx in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Sioux Falls Red Pandas. His performance earned Kobayashi rave reviews. Kobayashi, now 7-2, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 5, walking 5, and allowing no runs. The Lynx improved to 31-30.

In the bottom of the second inning of a 0-0 tie, Calgary designated hitter Stephan Tietmeyer reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. It broke the deadlock and put Calgary on top, 1-0.

Calgary manager Steve Duncan called it "a pretty good win."
