Morales Leads Charge, Sunset District Blasts Humpbacks
The 13-3 Sunset District win over Alaskan was due largely to Jorge Morales. The Fog third baseman went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Phil Murphy was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Frank Courtney was credited with the save for Sunset District, his 1st of the season.

Pepe Castillo, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in bases on balls with 35, took Alaskan hurler Gene Scott deep in the top of the fifth. His 3-run home run put the Fog on top, 6-3. In all, Castillo had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.

"We got our butts kicked," said Alaskan manager Alfonso Vera.

The third-place Fog go to 37-25.
