Monsters Suffer 4-0 Home Defeat
|
Right-hander Gustavo Martínez mesmerized the Monongahela Monsters while leading the Florence Flamingos to a 4-0 victory. Florence now sits at 23-40, while Monongahela falls to 41-22.
Lorenzo Gutiérrez hit a run-scoring double off John Dodson in the top of the third, which put the Flamingos in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Gutiérrez had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Martínez. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
