The Squirrel Monkeys grabbed a win, 4-3, at Liberty Reserve Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Philadelphia pitcher Manuel Juárez. Juárez went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. The winning pitcher was Zico Point du Jour, Jr.. He's now 8-1. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits for the Squirrel Monkeys. Augusto Sousa, who is tied for 6th in the SAAA in saves with 7, earned the save for Syracuse.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Diego Guzmán to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Squirrel Monkeys on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Both teams played hard," said Syracuse manager Ramón Barrueco.

The win elevated the Squirrel Monkeys to 34-30.
