Milton pitcher David Guerra had a large part in his team beating the Tortolita Drummers, 2-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Marx Lieftink, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. The Dogfish Head sport a record of 24-40.
The Dogfish Head got a big at-bat from second baseman Christopher Godsall. For the game, Godsall was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Milton a 2-0 lead.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Milton manager Brian Burt.
