The Red Pandas faced a stiff challenge from Kansas pitcher P.J. O'Day, but persevered to claim a win at Wichita Field. The final score was 2-1. O'Day went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Getting the save was Denny Gaston, his 7th. With the win, Sioux Falls raised its record to 35-29.
Ta-hye Keng had a direct impact on the outcome. Keng contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Sioux Falls up, 2-1.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Keng told the Sioux Falls Today.
