Richard Marshall did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Athletic Club KC Reserves from being beaten, 8-6, to the Milton Dogfish Head at Milton Corner Tavern. Marshall was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Milton reliever Andy Johnson was the winner. His record is now 3-3. Richie Lems took the loss. Henry Tucker was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 16 of 19 save opportunities.

Early in the game, designated hitter Tikaroa Hakapuna had a 2-run double for Milton. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Dogfish Head on top, 2-0.

"We came out aggressive," said Dogfish Head manager Austin Case. "We came out swinging the bats."

The 7th-place Reserves have dropped 5 straight games.
