Milton right-hander Mike Nichols pitched his team to victory over the Port Huron Blitzkrieg at Port Huron Park. The final score was 10-2. Nichols, now 3-7, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. This loss makes it 13 in a row for Port Huron.
Oscar Worthy came through with a big-time hit for Milton. The first baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
