Tight Tilt Goes to Red Pandas, 3-2

Both teams had their chances, but the Sioux Falls Red Pandas eventually prevailed.
Sioux Falls pitcher Denny Gaston did his part in helping his team beat the Milton Dogfish Head, 3-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Bob Daniel earned his 2nd save, after closing out the game.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Red Pandas had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when catcher Chris Drew hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Jack Faircloth and made the score 3-0, Red Pandas. Drew was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
Drew told the Sioux Falls Times: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
Sioux Falls is now 38-29, while Milton is 24-43.
