The Pennsauken Flyers picked up a win at Fog Park, knocking off the Sunset District Fog, 6-4. On the mound for Pennsauken was right-hander Herb Willis, who played a pivotal role in the win. Carlos Rosas was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 8 save opportunities. The Flyers, now 41-27, have won 5 in a row.
Pennsauken second baseman Pedro Romero contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 45th hit of the season and put the Flyers ahead, 3-0.
"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Flyers manager Culley Adjeng, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."
