5-1 Loss Extends Austin Skid
|
The Milton Dogfish Head converted a terrific effort from starter David Guerra into a win over the Austin Black Mambas at Mamba Park. The Dogfish Head won the game by a final score of 5-1. Guerra yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-4. The last-place Black Mambas have lost 7 straight games.
Mike Wheeler dealt the Black Mambas a blow in the top of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Milton leading 1-0, Wheeler, who leads the SAAA in triples with 4, hit a 1-0 sinker for a run-scoring single.
"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Guerra. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
