Monsters Win Nail-Biter
The Monongahela Monsters wiggled past the Sioux Falls Red Pandas, 5-4, at The Bamboo Forest. The win was highlighted by the performance of Monongahela pitcher Lee Wood. The winner in relief was Sterling Reece. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 4-1. Brad Pratly earned the save for Monongahela, his 11th.

This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the tenth, Tim Anderson grounded out, driving in 1 run. The Monsters took the lead, 4-3.

In postgame comments, Anderson told the Monongahela Times: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
