Lynx Use Late Score to Top Flamingos, 3-2

The Calgary Lynx picked up a win at Lynx Stadium, dropping the Florence Flamingos, 3-2, in 12 innings. Mac Walker, who is tied for 7th in the SAAA with a 7.4 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. Calgary pitcher Luis Tobías got the win. He's now 1-1. Pedro Ramírez was tagged with the loss. The second-place Lynx are now 48-21, the Flamingos 33-36.
Batting in the bottom of the 12th, 27-year old center fielder Kurt Hensley had a real shot to win the game. Florence pitcher Pedro Ramírez was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Hensley hit a run-scoring single. The Lynx had a walk-off triumph.
"The vibe's good," said Calgary manager Steve Duncan. "We've got to keep it going."
