Pride Topple Men with Late Rally

Hartford and Florida duked it out and the Pride came out victorious.
The Pride grabbed a win, 5-2, at Psychos Ballpark, overcoming a fine effort from Florida pitcher Jim Bird. Bird went 8.2 innings and allowed 4 runs. Glenn Patterson sewed up the save, his 10th.
Hartford used the timely hitting of Sok-man Yi to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pride on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"I know we have our doubters," said Florida manager José Ramos. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
With this game in the books, Hartford is 25-44, Florida 30-39.
