A good performance from second baseman David Jones helped the Sioux Falls Red Pandas defeat the Norfolk Pajaritos, 5-2. Jones was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Red Pandas. The winning pitcher was Len Horton. He's now 1-1. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits for the Red Pandas. Tony Hensley notched his 3rd save of the season.

Jones had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 changeup from Howard Rodríguez, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Red Pandas a 5-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Jones.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Jones.

Sioux Falls is 6th in the Silver AAA with a record of 32-38.
