The rain did not keep Sioux Falls and Florence from finishing their game.

Thanks in large part to left fielder Jonathan Day, the Sioux Falls Red Pandas beat the Florence Flamingos, 10-5. Day was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The Red Pandas improved their record to 40-30 by beating Florence.

Greg Reese had a big 2-run double for the Red Pandas in the bottom of the third inning. With Sioux Falls leading 4-3 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Roosevelt Maynard and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Pandas ahead, 6-3.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Day told the Sioux Falls Times.
