Ellenburg Rallies for 5-1 Victory
Ellenburg took on Philadelphia in front of a lively crowd.

Philadelphia wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Peter Smith, falling to the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 5-1. Smith threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 run for the losing team. With the win, the Fighting Dachshunds have a record of 43-28.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the ninth, with the game tied, Corey Howell was at the plate when Ellenburg scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Fighting Dachshunds to go in front, 2-1.

"This is a very good team," said Howell. "We have the chance to do something special."
