Rainbeaus Come Back Late, Nip Pajaritos
|
The Kansas Rainbeaus topped the Norfolk Pajaritos, 5-4, in USSL Triple A action at Wichita Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kansas pitcher Alastair Lewis. Douggie Westcott, credited with the win, is now 4-2. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits. The save went to Bruno Dares, number 7 for him.
Kansas took a 5-4 lead on Willie Norris's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Norfolk pitcher Duk-yeo Cho in the bottom of the eighth.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Norris told the Kansas Observer.
Kansas is 29-42 and Norfolk, with the loss, 39-32.
