The Pajaritos grabbed a win, 7-5, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, overcoming a fine effort from Hamilton pitcher Benoît Lambert. Lambert went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Norfolk reliever Alex Richardson picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Ed Walters shouldered the loss. The 9th-place Thunderbirds have dropped 5 straight games.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Rafael Suarez came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Hamilton pitcher Ed Walters, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Norfolk on top, 6-5.

Suarez called the triumph "a good team win."
