Ellenburg got a strong outing from Ambrosi Pigafetta as the Fighting Dachshunds defeated the Monongahela Monsters, 4-2, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Pigafetta yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 4-0. Ray Duncan notched his 4th save of the season.

Willie Griffin had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Fighting Dachshunds. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Ellenburg trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"We have a lot of confidence in Ambrosi," said Ellenburg manager Pedro Rodríguez.

With the win, Ellenburg pushed its record to 45-28.
