A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and Tortolita Drummers.

The Sioux Falls Red Pandas topped the Tortolita Drummers, 7-3, in USSL Triple A action at The Bamboo Forest. The standout performance belonged to Sioux Falls pitcher and Highland, Illinois, native Rock DeVote. DeVote got the win, improving to 5-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Picking up his 4th save was former first round draft pick Daniel Goodhew.

The Red Pandas got a big at-bat from third baseman Fred Watkins. For the game, Watkins was 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 4th double of the season gave Sioux Falls a 4-1 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Watkins. "And not try to do too much."
