Fighting Dachshunds Squelch Monsters Offense in Shutout Win
Bobby Dudley, who is tied for 7th in the SAAA with a 1.15 WHIP, was terrific for the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds in his team's 3-0 triumph over the Monongahela Monsters. His performance earned Dudley rave reviews. Dudley, now 4-5, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 4, walking 0, and allowing no runs. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Ellenburg.

The Fighting Dachshunds got a big at-bat from center fielder Willie Griffin. For the game, Griffin was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Ellenburg a 3-0 lead.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Griffin.
