Bryan Denton did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Sioux Falls Red Pandas from being beaten, 5-4, to the Tortolita Drummers at The Bamboo Forest. Denton was 1 for 2 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Drummers lead the Silver AAA by 7½ games.

José Altagracia drew 2 walks for Tortolita. With one out and the game tied in the top of the seventh inning, Altagracia had a clutch at-bat. Facing Sioux Falls hurler David Rubin, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Drummers a 5-4 lead.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Tortolita manager Marcos Costa.
