Monongahela pitcher Cisco Navarro did his part in helping his team defeat the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Héctor González wrapped it up, recording his 19th save. The Blitzkrieg have now dropped 5 straight.
Monongahela used a well-timed hit by Gorgonio Arboleda to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Monsters ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I like the roll we're on," said Monongahela manager Sancho Tornero.
