A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Sioux Falls Red Pandas and Hartford Pride.

Ronnie Gómez never let Hartford get something going. The Sioux Falls right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Red Pandas to a 4-1 win. Sioux Falls is now 35-40.

Sioux Falls used a big swing from David Jones to get the win. The second baseman walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Red Pandas up, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Sioux Falls skipper José González.
