Red Pandas Win Streak Reaches 6
|
The Sioux Falls Red Pandas had to overcome a good performance from Philadelphia pitcher Jim Ball to claim a 3-2 win at Liberty Reserve Stadium. Ball went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. Denny Gaston earned the save for Sioux Falls, his 13th of the year. The Red Pandas go to 43-32, putting them 4th in the Silver AAA.
Sioux Falls used the hitting of Feng-linag Ling to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Red Pandas on top, 3-2. For the game, Ling had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
After the game, Sioux Falls manager Juriaan van der Kieft applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
