The Philadelphia Liberty Reserves knocked off the Norfolk Pajaritos, 1-0, in USSL Triple A action at Norfolk Field. Philadelphia pitcher and Cicero, Illinois, native Patrick Davis had an outstanding performance. Bill Carson closed the door for Philadelphia, picking up his 21st save of the year. The win gives Philadelphia a season record of 50-26.

With two out in the top of the fifth, Isaaka Kaikala put Philadelphia in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Liberty Reserves went on to win the ballgame.

"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Phil Baker.
