Hot Chickens Get Clutch Win Versus Santa Barbara
|
The Nashville Hot Chickens defeated the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 2-1, in USSL Triple A action at Hot Chickens Park. Nashville pitcher Max van Capelleveen had a standout performance. Santa Barbara has now lost 4 straight.
Nashville got a knockout punch from Colm Lithgoe. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This game had its share of tense moments," Lithgoe said, postgame.
