The Hamilton Thunderbirds defeated the Sacramento Redlegs, 8-7. Doing his part was right fielder Victor Porter, who was 5 for 6 with 2 doubles and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs. Earning his 4th save of the year was Pei Fa. The 9th-place Thunderbirds are now 31-46, the Redlegs 47-30.

Hamilton took a 8-7 lead on Ron Johnson's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Johnson hit in the top of the tenth, left Sacramento pitcher José Salinas visibly frustrated.
