5-4 Win Gets Milton to 42-35
|
The Milton Dogfish Head topped the Alaskan Humpbacks, 5-4, in USSL Triple A action at Milton Corner Tavern. The game was highlighted by the performance of Milton pitcher Andy Johnson. Johnson yielded 3 runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-3. The Dogfish Head, at 42-35, have now won 4 straight.
Murtadi bin Fahd dealt the Humpbacks a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Milton leading 4-2, bin Fahd, who is tied for 5th in the SAAA in doubles with 17, hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Johnson told the Milton News.
