Morgan Excels, But Monsters Win
The Monongahela Monsters weathered an outstanding game by Austin catcher Albert Morgan to topple the Black Mambas, 7-6. Morgan was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. With the victory, the Monsters record stands at 46-31.

With the bases empty and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, right fielder Ricardo Álvarez delivered big for the Monsters. Monongahela was trailing 6-5 when he belted a solo home run.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Sancho Tornero.
