With Late Score, Rainbeaus Beat Dogfish Head
|
The Kansas Rainbeaus wiggled past the Milton Dogfish Head, 4-3, in 10 innings at Milton Corner Tavern. The win was highlighted by the performance of Kansas pitcher Terry Ward. David Uribe earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-4. Earning his 16th save of the year was Jonah Cervantes.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the tenth, with the game tied, Taco Pancake was at the plate when Kansas scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Rainbeaus to go in front, 3-2.
"It was a good effort all around," said Pancake.
Kansas has a record of 38-39, placing them 5th in the Silver AAA.
