Milton starter Raymond Thomas pitched well against the Calgary Lynx at Milton Corner Tavern. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Thomas, now 3-1, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The save went to Kelvin van Enk, number 2 for him.
In the bottom of the third, 28-year old center fielder Paul Young hit a 3-run home run. The 9th home run of the season for the Milton right fielder put the Dogfish Head on top, 3-2.
Young said his team "played with focus and determination."
The Dogfish Head move to 35-43 with the win, while the Lynx drop to 39-39.
