The Kansas Rainbeaus thumped the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 13-1, at Wichita Field. Chris Gutiérrez was a big reason his team got the win. Gutiérrez hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Alex Fahy picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-4. He struck out 8 in 7 innings. Kansas is now 39-40.
Early in the game, Gutiérrez had a 3-run home run for Kansas. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Rainbeaus on top, 3-0.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gutiérrez.
