Tight Tilt Goes to Fighting Dachshunds, 2-1
|
Alex Fahy, who is tied for 7th in the SAAA in strikeouts with 85, pitched well, but the Kansas Rainbeaus still fell short, losing, 2-1, to the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Ray Duncan earned the save for Ellenburg. Ellenburg now has a record of 49-30 with the win.
Fred Koch drew 1 walk for Ellenburg. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Alex Fahy. It was his 10th walk of the season.
Koch called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
